Some animals, such as the tortoise, have both an endoskeleton and an exoskeleton. In popular usage, many of the larger kinds of exoskeletons are known as "shells".

This is a cuticle layer of a plant.
The cuticle is a non-cellular protective layer covering the outer cell layer of the green, aerial parts of land plants. Cuticles protect plants against dessication, UV radiation and various kinds of physical, chemical and biological agents.

this is a modified leaf of a plant. A normal leaf is assigned some specific functions. When a leaf is performing some functions other than these two then it needs to have some structural changes in itself. The leaves which are performing these additional functions having changed their looks are called as modified leaves.

This is a gymnosperm leaf. This is a needle like leaf like from a pine tree. any vascular plant that reproduces by means of an exposed seed, or ovule, as opposed to an angiosperm, or flowering plant, whose seeds are enclosed by mature ovaries, or fruits.



This mushroom is a basidiomycete. Any of various members of a large group of fungi bearing sexually produced spores on a basidium. The group includes puffballs, shelf fungi, rusts, smuts, and mushrooms.
