Collection of pictures #2 for Basile Nkeng

This photo is describing an autotroph. Which is a plant which is able to create its own food using simple organic substances. The process used to do this is called photosynthesis.

This is an example of cellulose which is the main component of the fibers and tissues of plants. It is also the main component of cell walls, which are there to give the plant shape and to protect it.

This is an example of insects(ants). Insects are organisms that have exoskeletons, have three parts to their body and three pairs of jointed legs.
This is also an example of arthropod which is an organism having jointed limbs and a segmented body with an exoskeleton made of chitin.

This is my example of keratin. This is a picture of my hair, and explains the example because keratin is all over our hair and skin.It is a fibrous scleroprotein that occurs in the outer layer of the skin.

This is my example of a gymnosperm leaf. This is so because the seeds of the plant are not in the ovaries.

This is my example of a niche. This shows that the trees have a role in the ecosystem. This tree houses many creatures which would be dying extremely quickly if they could not get to such high grounds. I also chose to describe lignin in this picture which is the main component of wood other than carbohydrates which binds to cellulose fibers to harden and strengthen cell walls of plants.

This is a picture of a bee. This picture shows a pollinator, which is an insect that carries pollen from one flower to another. Bees are commonly known for doing this. This picture also describes mutualism, which is a relationship between two different organisms in which both organisms are benefiting.
